Blues / Funk
Born in New Roads, LA in July 1979, and raised in the bayou town of Houma, LA, Josh Garrett had been entertaining audience all over the country for the last five years with his own style of Louisiana Blues. Garrett’s style is a mixture of LA Blues, New Orleans Funk, Zydeco, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. “I’m drawn to all things Louisiana, it’s my culture and I try to embrace it,” says Garrett. He received an old acoustic guitar from his father when he was eleven years old. “[The guitar] was an old ’76 Alvarez. It was his guitar and he gave it to me. I was glad to get it and I haven’t put it down since.” say Garrett. Josh Garrett honed his skills at local blues jams, and has shared the stage with some of South Louisiana’s most accomplished musicians. “We’ve opened shows for Tab Benoit, Sonny Landreth, Johnny Sansone, Waylon Thibodaux, Chubby Carrier.

Kenny Neal
Neal, born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, began playing music at a very young age, learning the basics from his father, singer and blues harmonica player, Raful Neal. Family friends like Lazy Lester, Buddy Guy and Slim Harpo also contributed to Kenny’s early musical education. In fact, it was Harpo who gave the crying three-year-old a harmonica to pacify him. Kenny stopped crying that day, and eventually learned to play the harmonica. Along the way, he also mastered the bass, trumpet, piano and guitar. At 13, he joined his father’s band and began paying his musical dues
